AlgaVera brings together concentrated algae-derived DHA and an individually portioned powder format. Tear open a sachet, mix it into yoghurt or a smoothie, and make DHA part of your everyday routine.

The planned range is fish-free and vegan, with each sachet designed to provide a measured 500 mg of DHA. That is the DHA amount—not simply the weight of the algal oil or the total powder.

What is algal DHA powder?

Our sachets are being developed using microencapsulated DHA-rich algal oil. Small droplets of oil are held within a food-grade powder matrix, making the oil practical to use in a powdered format.

This is different from whole algae dried and ground into powder. The focus is concentrated DHA derived from microalgae, delivered in an easy-to-use sachet.

Why individual sachets?

Each serving stays sealed until you are ready to use it. Unlike a repeatedly opened tub, individual sachets limit exposure of the remaining servings to air, moisture and handling. They also make portioning and packing for travel straightforward.

At the planned price of A$89, a carton provides 30 daily servings of 500 mg DHA—approximately A$2.97 per serving, before any delivery charge.

Tear open one sachet when you are ready to use it.

2. Mix

Stir the powder into yoghurt or a smoothie. The format is designed for suitable cold foods and drinks.

3. Make it part of your routine

One sachet is designed to provide 500 mg DHA. Final serving directions will be provided with the finished product.

Your questions answered

Is this a fish-free omega-3?

Yes. The DHA is sourced from cultivated microalgae rather than fish. AlgaVera is being developed as a vegan daily DHA product.

Does it provide DHA or EPA?

The declared serving is 500 mg DHA. DHA and EPA are different omega-3 fatty acids; this product is being developed specifically around DHA rather than marketed as a combined EPA-and-DHA formula.

What will it taste like?

Low odour and a mild taste are priorities for the finished sachet. Final taste, texture and mixing performance will be confirmed during product validation.

What are the ingredients and storage requirements?

The complete ingredient list, including the encapsulation matrix and any allergens, will be published once the final formulation is confirmed. Packaging, shelf life and storage requirements are also being validated.

Will independent testing be available?

We plan to independently test each production batch for DHA content and relevant purity parameters, with a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis available for customers to inspect.
